Celebrities are known for their talent and glamorous lifestyles, but many have also made headlines with remarkable casino wins. From high-stakes blackjack to life-changing Roulette wins, these celebrity stories showcase that even the most famous stars can change their fortunes with just a stroke of luck.

In this movie scene starring Demi Moore and Woody Harrelson, roulette is the centre of attention when the couple are strapped for cash. A tense but realistic spin on the game!

Ashley Revell

One of the most famous roulette wins came when British businessman Ashley Revell sold all his possessions and risked his life savings on a single spin of the wheel in 2004. He was 32 at the time and he put his entire life’s worth on red at The Plaza Casino. The event was filmed by Sky One and the entrepreneur would end up winning $270,600.

It may not be the biggest casino win ever, but it was a life-changing amount of money that could have ended in disaster. He used the money to start his own poker company, Poker UTD, and also entered the online gambling industry with an iGaming recruitment website.

It is no surprise that roulette has made it to the silver screen, as the game has created some of Hollywood’s most memorable moments. From the desperation of Lola in the movie “Run Lola Run” to the suave sophistication of James Bond in ’Diamonds Are Forever,’ roulette is known for creating tension and drama with a single spin.

Chris Boyd

Like Newcastle United owner Mike Ashley, British billionaire Chris Boyd is one of the biggest roulette winners ever. In 2008 he won about PS1.3 million by placing what’s known as a complete bet on everything related to black 17 and it came in!

The computer programmer saved up $220,000 over three years to make the trip to Vegas and although he knew that roulette has a house advantage, he still believed he could win big. He found that most casinos had a $100,000 max bet and called ahead to the iconic Binion’s Horseshoe casino downtown to ask if they would take his huge $220,000 wager.

He didn’t study wheel bias and kept it simple with a color, but this was the best decision he ever made. Immediately after winning, he asked them to lock out the 00 and not let him gamble anymore. He stayed true to his word and hasn’t bet on the roulette table since!

Pedro Grendene Bartelle

Pedro Grendene Bartelle is a wealthy Brazilian businessman who has made his mark in the world of footwear. He cofounded Grendene, one of the world’s largest sandal manufacturers, with his twin brother in 1971 and has since grown the company to include multiple renowned brands. He currently holds the position of vice-chairman of Grendene SA and is also the chairman of shoe company Vulcabras Azaleia.

The game of roulette is a notoriously risky casino pastime and high-stakes bettors are known to bet large sums with the hopes of winning big. But even with a one-in-38 chance of hitting the jackpot, Bartelle still managed to win a staggering amount.

He achieved his success by tallying the results of each spin, then feeding them into an Atlas supercomputer. This helped him determine which wheels were biased and avoid the ones that would cost him the most money. He then used his knowledge to place bets that he expected to hit the most.

Michael Green

The British businessman Michael Green is no stranger to making a lot of money. In 2004, he won a cool $2 million at the high-stakes casino Les Ambassadeurs in London, England. He did it all in one night by betting on black and covering every possible combination that included the number 17.

His success at the Roulette table proves you don’t need a computer program or wheel or number bias to win a big amount of money. You just need a good strategy and lots of luck.

Despite winning all that cash, Green’s lifestyle hasn’t changed much. He still owns the Sports Direct retail sporting goods company and is also a major shareholder in Newcastle United Football Club. He is a family man and spends most of his time with his wife and children. The billionaire would love to add more money to his coffers but his current focus is running his businesses. He recently won $3.5 million in 2017 while playing Roulette in Uruguay at the Hotel Conrad.
