Every gambler dreams of hitting it big at Las Vegas casinos and these lucky people have done just that!

Elmer Sherwin, 92-year-old retiree from California was on the verge of hitting two jackpots when her final spin on a Megabucks machine brought up all three symbols in perfect alignment – she won an astounding $22.6 Million!

1. Elmer Sherwin

World War II veteran Elmer Sherwin is living proof that luck can strike twice. In 1989, at the Mirage casino in Las Vegas he won a $4.6 million Megabucks slot machine jackpot and described it as his life goal; 16 years later at Cannery Casino (at age 92!) he fulfilled that ambition!

Sherwin decided to use his winnings for good rather than spend it lavishly. He donated significant portions of his funds to charities helping victims of Hurricane Katrina.

Although Sherwin died shortly after winning his second jackpot, his story lives on as an example of how far one lucky spin can take you. It’s truly inspiring, showing that anyone can become a millionaire through careful management of their bankroll.

2. Cynthia Jay-Brennan

Cynthia Jay-Brennan was living proof that fortune favors those who gamble in 2000. The 37-year old cocktail waitress was enjoying an evening with her family – including soon-to-be mother-in-law and two sisters – after working her shift at Monte Carlo Casino and the Desert Inn Hotel and Casino (home of both Wynn and Encore resorts) where Megabucks slot machines could be found.

On her ninth spin, three Megabucks symbols flashed, giving her an enormous win of $35 Million! She immediately married her boyfriend and made plans for an exciting future together.

Just weeks after her victory, however, a drunk driver struck Jay-Brennan’s vehicle at a red light while stopped. This accident killed Lela Anne and paralyzed Jay-Brennan from the chest down. Today she spends four days each week attending physical therapy to try regaining her strength; additionally she donates wheelchairs as needed.

3. Ann Brennan

One of the more famous stories of a massive Vegas slot jackpot win occurred at Excalibur Hotel during March Madness when a software engineer decided to try his luck at Megabucks slot machine – only for all three golden eagle symbols to line up and yield him a prize worth $39.7 Million!

Cynthia Jay-Brennan’s story may sound too good to be true: after moving from Sacramento to Vegas to become a cocktail waitress, she visited Desert Inn Hotel and Casino after work one night in 2000 to place a small bet on a slot machine; it ended up becoming one of the biggest wins ever seen in Las Vegas history! Cynthia decided to receive her winnings gradually over 25 years with inflation adjusted payments; also giving a large portion to charities serving persons with disabilities.

4. Jean-Claude Brouillard

Every gambler who has ever put coins or chips into a slot machine or onto the green felt of a casino table has dreamed of striking gold, yet most never do. Some fortunate (or unlucky) people, however, managed to defy odds and achieve great fortune, altering their lives irrevocably through paper gold winnings.

On our list, our third top-ten winner is a retired Las Vegas resident who took home the Megabucks jackpot prize of $39.7 Million after only looking away for minutes – her lump sum payout at that time was the largest ever seen!

A UK player won an incredible $23.6 Million playing Mega Moolah Slot at Betway Casino! He became the largest ever online slots player by only wagering EUR15 and spending less than one minute before hitting it big!
